Rita Reys - Sings Michel Legrand
Rita Reys draagt sinds 1960 de titel "Europe's First Lady of Jazz", haar toegekend door het internationale jazzfestival van Juan Les Pins (Frankrijk). Ze nam tientallen albums op waaronder dit album uit 1972 "Sings Michel Legrand" waarvoor ze werd onderscheiden met een "Edison Music Award".

Michel Legrand is een Frans musicalcomponist, dirigent, pianist  en arrangeur  van Armeense  afkomst. Hij is de zoon van de componist en orkestleider Raymond Legrand (1908-1974), die artiesten als Édith Piaf en Maurice Chevalier begeleidde.
