After the breakup of the phenomenally successful Destiny's Child, Kelly Rowland kept a relatively low profile, at leastcompared to group-mate Beyonce, whose celebrity status as asolo artist cast a big shadow. 
Rowland cast some shadows ofher own, however, with 2007's MS. KELLY, a wholly satisfying showcase for the singer's particular take on contemporary R&B. Cameos from Eve, Snoop Dogg, and Tank keep the energy high, but MS. KELLY is Rowland's show through and through. With equal attention to both thumping club tracks (the album'slead-off single "Like This") and smooth, downtempo balladry("The Show"), this solo effort pushes Rowland into some well-deserved limelight.
