Macy Gray is een Amerikaanse neo soul/R&B zangeres. In 2001 won Gray de Grammy Award voor Beste Vrouwelijke Bijdrage (Pop) voor "I try", dat ook was genomineerd voor het Beste Lied en Beste Productie van het Jaar.

Dit is een prima album, en "I Try" is een echte topper. Haar stem is natuurlijk fantastisch en "Lee-John: Do Something" is van Outkast"s, "Git up Git Out" mocht je je dat afvragen...
