The Trammps een band afkomstig uit het Amerikaanse Philadelphia. 
Begin jaren zeventig waren zij één van de eerste discogroepen. 
De eerste grote hit waarmee The Trammps definitief doorbraken was "Love Epidemic" uit 1973. Zeer bekend werd de muziek toen, met hits als "Shout", "Hold Back The Night" en "Disco Inferno".
