Malachi Thompson - The Jaz Life
Malachi Thompson was een Amerikaanse avant garde jazz trompettist. "Thompson" bleef tot aan zijn dood productief als muzikant en componist. Zo nam hij tussen 1991 en 2003 negen albums op voor het Delmarklabel waaronder dit album "The Jaz Life". 

Dit was "Thompson's" tweede CD voor Delmark. Voor de titel van dit album gebruikte hij een onconventionele spelling, "Jaz", om echte jazz te onderscheiden van "Smooth Jazz". Deze CD uit '93 is één van de meest beste, en opwindendste van "Thompson".
